The City of Elk Ridge in beautiful Southern Utah County is looking for an experienced Public Works Director. Reporting to City Administration, the Director will be responsible for all public works programs including development, water, sewer, streets, storm drains, parks, snow removal and operation and maintenance of city equipment. Will manage a small staff of public works employees along with the activities of outside contractors.
The successful candidate will possess a minimum of four years’ experience in a similar role including the management and development of staff, preferably for a municipality of at least 3,500 citizens. The ability to prioritize and manage large projects is essential. In depth knowledge of development inspections, CDL is required. Water and Sewer operator certification level 2 (or Higher) is a plus or obtain each within 6 months of hire date. It is expected that the incumbent will be hands on and may be required to operate heavy equipment when necessary.
